Cougars Draft Defenceman Rinalds Rosinskis with the 65th Pick in CHL Import Draft.

The Prince George Cougars have selected 1994-born defenceman Rinalds Rosinskis in the second round (65^th overall) of the 2012 CHL Import Draft. Rosinskis is from Latvia, and stands 6’5” and weighs 198 pounds.

Last season in 30 games, Rosinskis recorded one goal and nine assists with HK Juniors Riga in Latvia. He also recorded 34 penalty minutes. Through five playoff games, Rosinskis added two assists and six penalty minutes.

Rinalds Rosinskis was a member of the Latvian U-18 World Championship team, and dressed in six games and tallied 18 penalty minutes in the tournament.

Rinalds Rosinskis joins Finnish goaltender Joonas Korpisalo (fifth overall) as a 2012 CHL Import draftee of the Prince George Cougars.
