Pats Send Muench to SJHL and More.

From the Regina Leader-Post:

The Regina Pats made a move with little-used winger Dane Muench on Wednesday, sending him to the SJHL's Battlefords North Stars.

Muench was the Pats' leading scorer in the pre-season and got off to a quick start in the regular season before he was derailed with knee problems that forced him to miss seven games. The 5-foot-6, 160-pounder was unable to get back on track and has been a healthy scratch on several occasions while compiling two goals and five assists in 24 games.

Muench, 18, spent the previous two seasons with Battlefords.

By the end of today I hope to have my first Audio recap posted to the blog. I ask for a little patience, as I'm still working out some kinks. The audio from last night's game is also a little choppy-sounding, but a promise is a promise and I will post a summary regardless.

I want to commend the fans who made it out to the Civic Center for last night's game. The Gold Medal game at the World Juniors took center-stage in the minds of many, and the attendance last night showed that. However the fans that did show up were treated to an entertaining hockey game, and probably went to bed feeling a lot better about the night compared to the many heart-broken fans of Canada's World Junior team who watched
Canada become un-glued.

I don't work for the team and can't speak on their behalf, but I'm certain that the players, coaches, Board of Directors and marketing manager appreciate the fact that you made it to the game. The hockey fans in the Battlefords continue to amaze.

Well done.
