The Yorkton Terriers have defeated the Melville Millionaires 4-3 tonight, and have advanced to face the Weyburn Red Wings in the Sherwood Conference Semi-Final.
Congratulations to (interim?)Yorkton coach Trent Cassan, who was thrust into a tough position down the stretch and he delivered. Does this give him the inside track on keeping the position for next season?
I think Weyburn/Yorkton will be a great series, same with Kindersley Notre Dame.

An earlier blog poll had indicated that most readers think that the North Stars will beat Melfort in six games. I guess time will tell.
