Sad news out of North Star Nation today. One day after the SJHL trade deadline, the North Stars have announced that 20-year-old forward David Lawrence (Calgary, AB) has left the team for personal reasons.
"We want to thank David for his brief time here, and we wish him all the best in the future," said North Star's coach and GM Ken Pearson this evening.
Lawrence's departure leaves the North Stars with 13 forwards, seven defencemen and two goaltenders heading down the stretch.

Do we know what the personal reasons are? Was he happy in NB?
Word is that he went home to Calgary to work for his Dad. Just realized it was 'time to go' I guess.
That's really too bad that it wasn't decided before the deadline as then the Stars maybe would not have agreed to some of the trades that went on. Prior to playoffs and during playoffs there are normally more injuries than in regular season. I hope it doesn't leave the Stars in a bind for players when they need them.
