Deven Stillar could not be stopped Sunday afternoon at the North Battleford Civic Center. The Flin Flon forward tallied three goals, and led the Bombers to a 4-1 victory over the Battlefords North Stars.
After a scoreless first period, Stillar scored on a power-play 52 seconds into the second period to give his team a 1-0 edge. Stillar's second came at 15:27 after a point-shot from Tanner Korchinski was re directed to Stillar who was waiting in the high-slot. He completed the hat trick at 6-:53 of the third period on a break-away.
Chris Neurauter grabbed the Star's lone goal at 10:11 on a power-play.
Jesse Mychan scored into an empty-net with 61 seconds left to complete the scoring.
The Stars did not lose for lack of chances. They fired 35 shots on Bomber's netminder P.J. Musico. In addition they hit at least two goal-posts and fired a few shots wide from close-range. With the victory, the Bombers improve to 12 11-1-0 and return to fourth in the Bauer Conference. The Stars fall to 11-13-1-1 and are alone in fifth.
Up next for the Stars, a meeting at home against the Humboldt Broncos. Puck drops 7:30 Tuesday night form the North Battleford Civic Center.
