Stars Hire a Marketing and Office Manager

The Battlefords North Stars Hockey Club and the Board of Directors are pleased to announce that a new Marketing and Office Manager has been hired.

Effective immediately, Dawn Cardell takes over the position that was vacated in September 2009.

Cardell has spent the past five years working in a similar capacity with the Flin Flon Bombers organization. Cardell brings a wealth of experience in marketing and book-keeping to the Battlefords.

"I'm looking forward to relocating, starting a new life, and helping the North Stars as best as I can," said Cardell. "I'm very out-going, and good at handling the marketing end of things."

Her ability to manage the books will be a great asset to the organization.

"She's well aware of the type of accounting neccessary for a hockey team that also needs to meet the format of the SJHL," said North Star's Governor Stew Demmans. Cardell's ability to maintain the books gave her a distinct advantage over other applicants.

Most of Cardell's initial work will be conducted from her home in Creighton, SK until her move to the Battlefords takes place.

Dan O'Connor will continue to assist Cardell and the Battlefords North Stars with game-day promotions, website management and public relations.

All marketing inquiries can be made through the Battlefords North Star's office at the Civic Center (306-445-7827).
