The Battlefords North Stars have acquired 20-year-old forward Travis Cech from the Dauphin Kings in exchange for the playing rights of 20-year-old forward Louis Labbe.
Last season Cech split time with Humboldt and Dauphin. He recorded seven goals and 11helpers in 35 games played with the Kings last year.
Cech will start practicing with his new team at the start of next week, and will likely dress Wednesday when the Stars head to Kindersley.
