The Prince George Cougars are proud to release their promotional schedule for the 2011/2012 season. The kick-off begins on Saturday, October 22nd with Jersey Night. Fans are encouraged to wear their favourite jersey to the game as the Cougars take on the Tri-City Americans.
The Cougars are also pleased to announce that they have partnered with RBC to present Student Night on Friday, October 28th when the Prince George Cougars host the Vancouver Giants. Students are invited to an enjoyable night out where they will have a chance to win some great prizes. RBC will be hosting a “Loonie Grab” on the ice during the second intermission. Ten students will be randomly selected from the designated student area in Section P to participate in the contest. There will be $1000 dollars worth of loonies up for grabs within a 30-second time frame. In addition, the Prince George Cougars and RBC have also launched a photo contest through the Prince George Cougars Hockey Club Facebook page. Students are encouraged to upload photos showing their school spirit to the Cougars page at http://www.facebook.com/pgcougars . The winning group will win a night in RBC’s corporate suite on the October 28th with tickets and refreshments provided by RBC.
All fans are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to the game on October 28th and students 19+ are invited to attend a costume party in the Ice Lounge prior to puck-drop. Prizes will be given to students with the most creative costumes.
The Cougars promotional schedule includes some new promotions such as the DBIA’s Downtown Business Bash, FortisBC’s “Go Green” game and Faith Night. Old favourites include Mascot Mania, Minor Hockey Night and “Tour Your Own Town,” sponsored this season by Aspen Grove Golf Course.
“We are looking forward to all the theme nights we have planned this season,” said Cougars Vice President, Brandi Brodsky. “They add an extra element of entertainment to our game nights and give us a chance to showcase our sponsors in an engaging way.”
