The Prince George Cougars wrapped up their seven game road-trip with a 3-0 loss in Kamloops. Dylan Willick scored the game-winner at 9:47 of the second period, and goaltender Cole Cheveldave recorded a 26-save shutout.
The Cougars came out firing in the first period and definitely out-chanced Kamloops. But the Cougars were unable to take advantage of two power play chances, and they skated into the dressing room tied zero-zero after one.
The Blazers got on the board first when Dylan Willick deflected home a Tyler Hansen point-shot past Drew Owsley.
Moments later off a face-off the Blazers made it 2-0 when JC Lipon fed the puck to Colin Smith who capitalized.
Tim Bozon would add a third period marker for Kamloops who improved their record to 6-2.
The Cougars and Blazers each finished with 26 shots on goal. The Cougars went zero-for-four on the power play while Kamloops finished zero-for-two.
The Cougars finish their eastern road-swing with a 2-5 record having posted wins in Prince Albert and Regina.
The Cougars next game goes Friday night at home when they welcome the Tri City Americans for a Friday-Saturday weekend set.
