Brett Miller Named Player of the Week

From the SJHL Website:

1991 F Brett Miller (North Battleford SK) is emerging as a top goal scorer in the SJHL. Miller had struck seven times in his first nine games since returning from the WHL (Everett). He also ended the week of October 11th with four goals in four games and also collected six points to earn himself the SJHL Player Of The Week award.

"Instead of pouting about being sent back from the WHL, (Brett) has came back and played like the player we all hoped he would be. He has been great in the room, been a good leader, and is playing with great confidence," said Ken Pearson this evening through a text message.

--------------------

This could be a good news, bad news situation for the Battlefords North Stars. On one hand, Miller continues to mow down his competition, and is buring the puck at a terrific rate.

On the flip-side, the 18-year-old is getting some more attention from the WHL, and I hear that he's already been listed by a team out West. Would Miller want to get another crack at the Dub? Or does he have a good thing going here, and decide to stick it out in his hometown with his pals?

No doubt a tough call.

Congrlatulations Brett! It's well deserved.
