The Stars could have at least three new defencemen dressed for Saturday's Home Opener.
Ken Pearson has traded Dominic Perrault(91) to Estevan for 17-year-old D Nathan Zimbaluk and 20-year-old Dakota Johnson.
The Stars have also added former Humboldt Bronco's defenceman Cade Kimery (91).
More details to come.

Wow. I like Perrault. I thought he would be a key player for them this year.
I liked him too, but you've got to give something to get something.
I hope it works out for both sides because when he wants to be, Dom is a real gamer and will help the Bruins.
What I have read Johnson could of been the best defencemen from the MJAHL league. Getting a 17 year old defencemen with WHL experience is good as well. Also I thought Dom could of put out more in the Ex season. I told someone at the last game that Dom just didnt seem like he cared. He wasn't playing like him self. Hes good. But a change was needed.
Finally the Perrault experiment is over. The only thing he had going for him is size and he didnt use that enough to make himself a quality player in the league. This being his 3rd year here i would have taken 93 Forbes in a heartbeat over him.
Sorry to be a downer but the amount of giveaways he did per game was alot.
The Stars got a Maritime boy. Thus, the Stars win the trade. Pretty clear to me.
What does the defence look like now? I count 9 defencemen??
Klassen
Folstad
Chiblow
Maclellen
Egan
Baptiste
Johnson
Kimery
Zimbaluk
Zimbaluk isn't on the team's roster 'yet.' Coach Pearson may very-well decide to keep him in Midget AAA for another season. I'd say that will largely depend on Kimery, Baptiste, and Egan and what type of start they have to the season.
Klassen, Chiblow, Johnson, Folstad and MacLellan should be locks to play.
I agreee with SaskGolf here. Dom was alright; but needed to be better. Woody and Folstad are more solid for us by far. I really like Chiblow and from what I have seen of Maclellan so far, he will good too. Johnson looks to be a tough D man which I think is needed on the back end. I think we got the better out of the trade; but I guess we will see.
Another thing i have reading some whl blogs and it looks like that Kyle Schmidt may be on the outside looking in at calgary camp. But boy is this nice to have a surplus of defenseman.
Side Note Tony Oak better start playing like the player he is, hes not going to get alot points so go back to intimidating everybody and be that guy or else he might be on the outside also. Sorry i must be in a bad mood today.
I have been told that Oak has been hurt since the Kindersley win
Good riddance to bad rubbish. Dom had "all the tools" but never ever used them. His hockey sense also left ALOT to be desired. The Stars are a much better team after getting a pair of players for him.
