Altho it wasnt a win, I thought the stars played much better than I had seen them play a few days ago. Sirard played well. Johnson played well on the backend. MacLellan was a real find. I like that he plays with Woody as they are very similiar players. It was the first time I had seen Egan and I thought he played a very good game. With the new defencemen coming in from Swift Current I would say that Baptiste would be the odd man out, as hes a 20 year old. I thought the forwards did a better job of helping the defencemen. In a few games I can see us being fine.

Yeah i thought they played better for sure, there was really nobody on the defense that i would say had a really bad game. But the forwards is another story and if Daley is just gonna be a passenger its time to get out. I thought the guys like Tatch, Miller and Phaneuf played great, rollins Schwab and Morrissey played good. Oak had a better game but still not enough for a 20 year old. Also i think its a waste of Kyle Hall's talent to be stuck on a checking line, he had a couple of great bursts and carried the play, Put Hall with Rollins and Morrisey see what happens. Also i would like to see what Miller, Tatch, and Schwab would do on a line, all good friends and get phaneuf to help out another line.

Gotta agree with you Saskgolf. Daley needs to pick it up. Oak needs to enforce a little, not one fight and they are winless in four. Least PIMS in the league can be a good thing but the Stars are too soft. Not a bad idea to put Schwab with Tatchell and Miller, and put Phaneuf with Morrisey and Daley on a line. Im pretty sure we are going to see some new players in the lineup fairly quickly.

Daley is doing fine! Though he hasn't scored he has some assists and is playing good. Let's not forget he was one of the leaders in scoring last year on the team, as well as in the the whole SJHL. He was a SJHL allstar and still has alot to offer this team.

Everyone is so quick to blame the players or the goalie but let's think hard about who put this team together. They're not clicking. The lines aren't working. They play one period of hockey and then they quit. They need their coach to step it up, inspire them, motivate them, teach them.

Fine doesnt cut it for a 20 year old so called leader. He only works when he has the puck and never competes for it.

Fine isn't going to cut it though. Points aside; I don't see him fighting much for the puck. He's losing the battles which is giving the opponents scoring opportunities. It's not just him though, there are a few softies out there; well I guess one less now. As for Tony, he doesn't need to fight to make an impact. He is working hard and fighting for the puck. He is a much smarter player than what he used to be, and ya maybe he doesn't have the points but he does have the work ethic. Schwab on one of the top lines? BAD IDEA. I haven't seen one game so far this year where there would be any indication that he is a top six guy. He's gotta start fighting a little harder if he wants a position like that.

Daleys vision on the ice is unbelievable. He made some great plays the other night. It will come for him. He may not be scoring but hes back checking and doing the little things right. It will come for him.

Schwab is fighting as hard as he can, what you see is what you get, him along with 3 or 4 other rookies are physically to small for this league they have talent but not the strength. Let them play junior B this year against not as talented players and then bring them back next year. Daley will get his points during the season but again will have a hard time in the playoffs. The coaching staff is far from being done with changes. they are working hard and will have a great team in place in time, it's still early. As for Oak I think you people will be eating your words by christmass that line will be winning us games weather it be defensively or offensively. I would also like to see the bone crushing hits from Woody but he did state on the radio that he was not going to hit anymore he was going to be more offensive.

Big players are not always the skilled playes. You need a combination of players to make up a team and the coaching staff are doing just that with their recruiting process and finding the right line combination will take a little time. Each player is given a role to play on a team and each player has something to bring to the table. How do you think rookies get their start? This is how they get stronger for the following year. I thought I heard Ken state that this is a developmental league? Putting them in Jr. B is not going to develop them or make them ready to play in a stronger competitive environment. Good job for Oak not fighting when there was maybe not need for it.
Let him play hockey. Defensively or offensively, what ever role the coach sees fit for him. Just because you are losing a game is not a good enough reason to fight.

putting them in Junior B for a year against not as talented 20 year olds would be a great way to develop their confidence and would give them time to develop physically. Most players in Junior B are not in the gym everyday and during the summer training for 3 to 4 hrs a day.Completely diffrent then making the jump to Junior A.

Any player, who is playing Jr. Hockey be it Jr. A or Jr. B should be in the Gym during the on ice and off ice season. How can they get stronger playing Jr. B and not attending the gym. So you are saying play Jr. B get confidence but don't get stronger.

All the more reason for these players to play at the Jr. A Level, get the high end coaching they need, attend the gym on a regular basis and they will be just fine.

if they get sent down to junior B knowing they will be back next year they better be hitting the gym every day. The 20 year olds are playing there because they like the game of hockey and still want to be in a competitive situation not because they have a chance to move on.

I'm sorry but i completely disagree with the idea of sending players down to junior B to develope, the league is garbage and most of the teams practice once a week if that. there would be no development if anything there skill would worsen. I also dont think we need to change up any lines there have been 4 games played and they have 18 goals for, its a matter of playing tougher and having defensive accountability on each line. As for you saying schwab isnt working hard. what games have you watched? maybe you are stuck on the image of him playing AAA but he is a complete different player this year he is working for his ice time and is one of the guys that has been back checking hard in every game

You are not making any sense here bud!!

Thank you for adding your comments as I could not figure out where this was going and it was frustrating to read. I agree, sending them down to B would not help them any of them. It was not making any sense at all.
