It's a shame that Oak has to miss 5 games. Listening to the game and talking with my grandson afterward, I would think that circumstances weren't the best at the Flin Flon game. Sometimes player safety and a lack of proper security causes situations like this.
So what happened? I know there have been things with the fans in flin flon before and instances with team buses and stuff. Interested to hear what happened.
Not wanting to tell tales out of school, suffice to say that there was a lot of badgering between the fans and bench through out the game. Listening on the internet, all I could hear in the backgound was a drum banging, which was positioned behind the bench. Also, it seems the players had a hard time getting off the ice and then into the bus after the game. I don't know wether Dan-o would like to add more, or just let it drop.
I think Pappy's explanation of the events is an accurate portrayal of how things went down.
What's done is done. Looking forward to getting him back for Game Two of the Melfort series.
Oak was sitting in the stands for the third period. He was being heckled by fans that came over to where he was sitting. Some time during the period a power aid was thrown at him which Oak ignored. At the end of the game during all the hassle another drink was thrown on him. This time it looked like oak had enough and things went from their.
