Yikes.
This one was not for the faint of heart. The Northstars and Bruins had an old fashioned 'slugfest' on Friday night.
10 goals were scored in the first 40 minutes of play and the Stars scored two more when it mattered most and came away with a 7-5 win.
Josh Daley scored twice, including the game winner late In the third. Woody Klassen, Dane Muench, Ward Szucki, Blake Tatchell and Cody Folstad had the other tallies for the Stars who won their 30th game of the year.
Even better news??
Melfort beat Flin Flon 3-2, which moves the Stars within six points of the Bombers with two games in hand.
A win tomorrow night for the Stars in Weyburn and things get veeeerrrryyy interesting.
I'll preview that matchup tomorrow. If I don't, I know of at least one loyal reader (cough, Mrs. Miller, cough cough) who will give me a whooping!
We have officially doubled last year's win total and it feels pretty good!
