Last night in Eston, the Battlefords North Stars fell 4-3 to the Kindersley Klippers on the strength of some great goaltending from Josh
Thorimbert, and some timely Klipper offence in the second period.
The game was tied 1-1 after one, and after ten scoreless minutes of the
second, the Klippers started clicking.
Andrew Dommett (36) made it 2-1, and then Braedon Adamyk and Beau Taylor
chipped in with goals to make it 4-1.
Early in the third, the Stars killed off a 5-3 man-advantage and used
that momentum to their advantage. Boyd Wakelin (7) made it a 3-2 game after following up a Blake Tatchell shot, and then Blake Peake inched the Stars within one at 5:15 of the third.
Unfortunately the Stars weren't able to grab the equalizer as Josh Thorimbert returned to 'early game' form.
The Stars finished the game with 31 shots, and 1-6 on the man-advantage.
The Stars get another crack at the Klippers Sunday night at the N.B. Civic Center.
Only two games remain for the team, and both are at home. Do these boys
a favor and show your support before it really starts to matter most!

So i guess goaltending is still up for discussion. Competition breeds winners.
