Klipps Down the Stars 6-4.

The Kindersley Klippers managed to hold on to a 6-4 victory, and the Stars lost their opener for a third straight season.

The Klipps scored four unanswered goals in the second period and forced Ken Pearson to pull Graham Hilldebrand at the 5 minute mark of the 2nd. Travis Eggum and Jordan Braid were the two main offensive catylysts for the home team.

The Stars picked up their play in the third and damn nearly got even closer, hut they failed to execute on six PP trys and Klippers goalie Riley Ross stood tall when he needed too.

Scoring for the Battlefords: Daley, Lane, Wakelin and Waskewitch.

For Kindersley: Braid (2), Eggum, Calkins, Clark and Myzoriuk.

----------------

Overall the Klippers were tghe better team. Numerous times on the air I stated that there were "Too many passengers," on the ice tonight.

Wakelin, Daley, Lane, Neufeld, Birch and Watt stood out to me, but that being said - Nobody on the Stars could claim that they played their best game.

The defence took too many chances and looked inexperienced against the Klipper forwards. The home squad won more battles, and took advantage of numerous mistakes.

That being said: There were some positives, and the Stars get a great chance to redeem themselves in front of their home fans tomorrow night.

This bus is eerily quiet righr now. I would be shocked if the Stars played like this tomorrow night.

57 more to go. I hope to see you all at the rink tomorrow night.

The Sasktel Pregame Show kicks off at 7:15. Hope you are listening. Good night fans, thanks for your wicked support.

Hello Dan. The game definately could of gone better and if we could of omitted the 2nd period we would of been doing pretty good. Regarding your picks of who stood out one would of thought #10 should have been included. He won most of his faceoffs, had some really nice passes, and end to end game. Just an opinion though! Can hardly wait until tonight.
