Ken Pearson put it best when he said, "We made a 16-year-old goalie look like a seasoned veteran."
Yes, the Stars got lots of shots, but rookie netminder Zack Rackochy.only had maybe two or three difficult stops all night. Everything else either hit him square in the chest or went wide.
The first period (in my opinion) was okay. Although the score was 1-0, it felt like we were in the game and that it was only a matter of time....
Well the time never came. The Stars tried to beat the Mils with skill rather than effort, and in the end it costed the Stars two points.
Not a single memorable hit was thrown, the Stars got ZERO traffic in front of Rackochy, and it will be interesting to see hoe the team bounces back tomorrow night in Yorkton
.I can't even really single out any studs for us tonight. I could single-out some otherd who did not make an impact, but I will gladly refrain. This bus is VERY quiet right now and rightfully so.
Yorkton is next and they are a team that we SHOULD beat. The Terriers have not been playing very well and have been having a tough time scoring.
A split this weekend will still be considered a success to me, but a loss tomorrow night and the road woes will only stick in their heads longer.
Here's hoping for a better effort tomorrow.
Thanks for listening tonight.
