I had a quick conversation with coach Pearson this morning prior to the 10:30 practice.
He confirmed that Graham Hilldebrand is indeed coming back, and should be in the Battlefords tomorrow.
In the meantime, goaltenders Coleman Young and Spencer Laycock are each going to get to play a full game this week. No word on who gets the call tomorrow night against Humboldt.
Here is a brief summary of our conversation:
DO:Is it safe to say that there is a real feeling of competition inside the room right now?
KP: Yeah, I really think that guys realize that up front we have a really good battle. Good depth. Now we just need to find the right combinations. When we do, I think we will be very explosive up front.
DO:Has anybody already started to seperate themselves from the rest?
KP: No.that's what these next three games are for.
Right now there are 30-odd players left at camp. The roster must be dwindled down to 25 before game one of the regular season.
