Josh Daley, one second before he makes it a 2-1 game.
Tough to tell without the numbers, but Nathan Tomac (I think) fighting Mike Alexander?

Welcome back to the Lineup Mitch Wall

Here are some of my personal thoughts on tonight's game:
1) The North Stars defence seemed so much more confident and relaxed with the re-addition of Coleman Brodbin and Brody Malek. Brodin was named third star on the La Ronge broadcast, and he would have been mine too.
2) Kyle Birch played another solid game. Not the best I've seen from Birchy, but he made some nice saves in the first period to help keep the game in hand for his team.
3) Adam Bartko was unreal for La Ronge! The North Battleford product looked sensational, and should have started tonight for the Ice Wolves IMO. Seriously, he made about seven saves that most goalies in this league would have let in.
4) The North Stars have a lot of depth. Seriously, I was looking at the lineup tonight, scratching my head and wondering outloud: "Where is Brett Miller going to fit in?" I'm sure the coach will find some place, and I have no doubt that Brett Miller's return can only make this team better. But it's definitely a good sign when there isn't a single player on the ice that you'd want scratched the next night.
5) This upcoming road trip could be an early turning point in the North Star's season. The Stars haven't won a regular season game in Yorkton, Melville or Humboldt since I've covered the team, yet this team seems poised to win a lot more hockey games this year. If the Stars can even win two out of their next three, they are in fantastic shape heading into October.
7) I wish we could broadcast all 58 games.
Goodnight!
